Passenger air travel is a growing industry in Bangladesh as economic development within the region continues to expand. Job markets in regional countries in South East Asia and Middle East continue to attract labour forces from developing countries like Bangladesh. The national flag carrier of Bangladesh, Biman Bangladesh Airlines, is passing through it's worst time in history. Huge burden of debt, continuous loss, over-staffing, shortage of aircrafts and many other drawbacks are playing havoc with the flight schedules of Biman.
Currently there is a huge difference in the supply and demand scenario of the airline industry in Bangladesh. The foreign airlines serving in the country cannot offer more frequent service to meet market demand because of their limited allowance under bilateral Air Services Agreements (ASAs). However, the government of Bangladesh has recently opened up the skies to foreign airlines in order to meet the huge demand. This policy also presents an opportunity to small airline operators to step-in and offer airline service to meet the continuing demand for air travel in the region.
Ruposi Bangla Airlines aims to provide quality air services on selected international routes with a large number of non-resident Bangladeshi passengers. The major international routes in the region are Dhaka-Jeddah-Dhaka, Dhaka-Dubai-Dhaka, Dhaka-Singapore-Dhaka, Dhaka-Kualalampur-Dhaka, Dhaka-Bangkok-Dhaka, Dhaka-Delhi-Dhaka and Dhaka-Katmandu-Dhaka.
